Hall of Fame

I am currently working with a DFID funded Project as Procurement Specialist/Manager, Procurement Capacity Strengthening. My responsibilities include planning, development and execution of capacity building plans for public sector officials.

I hold a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the International Islamic University, Islamabad, with one decade of experience in the field of Procurement, Contract Management, and Project Management with private and public sector international development organizations working for Governance, Information Technology Services, Capacity Building and Development.

I have mostly worked as a procurement consultant with the Government of Pakistan on World Bank funded projects for improvement in Governance, public service delivery, public finance management and higher education.

Apart from this, I have been teaching graduate business students as regular faculty member in a public sector university. My areas of expertise are Sourcing, Public Procurement, Contract Management, Negotiations, Team Management and Training.

I have received professional training from Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) and the World Bank and have participated in many workshops and seminars held to improve the institutional and regulatory framework of Pakistan’s procurement systems.

I am also equipped with a strong knowledge of procurement rules, guidelines, documents, policies, and procedures of Governments and international development organizations along with a thorough experience of the complete procurement cycle from procurement planning to contract management. During the last decade, I have been involved in all procurement functions including procurement of Goods, Information Systems, Services and Civil Works worth Millions of dollars.

The reason I chose to do the certificate in public procurement (CPPP) is to get a formal professional recognition in the field of Public Procurement. There is a rising demand for public procurement professionals in the public sector, especially with the increase of donor funded projects in developing countries, the course will definitely help to meet the demand for skilled procurement experts. The participants will be better able to understand procurement rules & regulations, methods of procurement for Goods, Works and Services. The course will provide competitive edge to the participants those who are already working in public sector or intend to pursue their career in procurement. I would strongly recommend the course to public sector officials.
