My educational qualifications include a B.A. in Accounting and Auditing from Ambo University, Ethiopia and M.Sc. in Rural Development from Haramaya University, Ethiopia.
I have ten years of professional work experience ranging from projects planning, implementing and monitoring, post-evaluation, capacity building, and knowledge of project management, monitoring, evaluation and programming in conflict settings and food security programs accompanied with desire and commitment to work on these pillars with a particular concentration on rural development and poverty alleviation. I have also two years of experience at Jigjiga University as lecturer.
I believe Procurement is an important ingredient for successful implementation of development projects. Deficiencies in procurement may lead to cost overrun, implementation delays and often-unsuccessful project delivery. Anyone involved in project implementation should have a basic knowledge and understanding of procurement. The Certificate Program in Public Procurement introduces the basics of public procurement – from introducing the concepts of procurement to planning and executing the entire procurement process, making it suitable for beginners as well as mid-level professionals.
