Md. Nuruzzaman

I hold an MBA degree from Institute of Business Administration (IBA), University of Dhaka, Bangladesh.

I have about 16 years’ working experience in various diversified organizations with the responsibilities of managing purchase, procurement, contracts & agreements, procurement, budgeting, human resources management, office administration, company secretariat department, billing & credit control, customer relationship management, education management etc.

In my future career endeavors, I would like to work in the procurement sector, especially in public procurement sector. Hence, I want to equip myself with strong knowledge of public procurement rules, guidelines, documents, policies, and procedures of Governments and international development organizations along with a thorough experience of the complete procurement cycle from procurement planning to contract management. CPPP has given me the basic opportunity to do that.

There is a rising demand for public procurement professionals in the public sector. The course will definitely help to meet the demand for skilled procurement professionals. The participants will be able to understand the basic rules and regulations regarding procurement, methods of procurement for Goods, Works and Services in the public sector.

It is good to see that the World Bank is trying to help in establishing good governance and transparency especially in the Public Procurement sector around the world. In doing so, World Bank started offering completely free course on CPPP in a well-designed program that could benefit both junior and senior level procurement specialists. I really appreciate this excellent initiative of the World Bank.

I would strongly recommend the course to public sector officials who do not have sufficient knowledge and training in the field of public procurement and also to those individuals who are planning to work in the public-sector procurement. This will help them to have the basic understanding of public procurement.
