Hall of Fame

I graduated as a Biomedical Engineer from Osmania University, with an MBA in Materials Management from Indian Institute of Materials Management and a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management (PGDBM) from Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Lucknow.

Till date, I have around 18 years of experience in Procurement, Contract Management and commercial operations across Health care and Medical services, Power, Gas, Steel and Mining Industries.

I am fortunate to have started my career with HSCC (India) Ltd., one of the only public Sector organisations under the Union Ministry of Health & Family Welfare rendering a comprehensive range of Professional Consultancy Services from concept to commissioning in social sectors.

Following that, I’ve worked as Manager (Contracts & Materials) at Ratnagiri Gas and Power Private Limited (RGPPL). Currently, I’m working as Assistant General Manager (e-commerce) at MSTC Ltd. Mini Ratna Category – I, which is a Public Service undertaking under the administrative control of the Ministry of Steel, Government of India. I’m also empanelled as a Public Procurement Trainer/Consultant with the South Asia Regional Procurement Services of the World Bank. Prior to this, I have executed World Bank funded procurement projects of various National Health Programmes in India such as Revised National Tuberculosis Control Programme, Immunization Strengthening Programme, Capacity Building programme, Reproductive and Child Health Programme (RCH) for the Govt. of India and Health system Development Programmes for the State Governments.

My wife is a doctor and a classical dancer. I also have two daughters named Shriya and Shrija, who are both in Primary school and pursue Art, Music and Dance equally well.

I believe the World Bank has taken a good initiative by introducing this programme. There is no such programme in public procurement right now, though there are programmes for procurement, supply chain, and other areas but public Procurement has a completely different set of rules. Due to a lack of such programmes, most of what I have learnt till date is from my professional experience and my seniors.

I am deeply committed towards professionalization of public procurement and would appeal all public professionals to undergo this course. It is extremely structured and has been designed by eminent and learned professionals. Moreover, the interactive sessions are very helpful and much can be learnt from the participants and the experienced faculty in clearing concepts and solutions to the problems in public procurement thereby contributing to the society at large.
